The Clements Family
In 1927, there was a mission's convention being held in London, Ontario, Canada. A young shoemaker and his wife listened to the speakers representing the countries of the world. God spoke to Fred and Susan Clements calling them to serve as missionaries in Argentina. Selling all he had, he sailed out of New York, to serve the Lord in this wonderful country. He knew that he would be presenting the gospel of Jesus Christ in a town called Henderson. In 1939, Federico Clements died and was buried in a cemetery outside the town limits of Henderson. His daughter Jeannette, carried on the work for several years after his death. Jeannette became the mother of my wife, Margi Bradbury.
In 1964, a young man knelt at the altar in the church at Henderson and give his life to Jesus Christ. This young man became the General Superintendent of the Assemblies of God of Argentina. He served in this position for 14 years. Jose Carlos is a church planter of 15 assemblies. He is presently an evangelist, pastor, and motivator. Sixty-six leaders have been sent out from his church in La Boca, a section of the capitol, Buenos Aires.
This same man extended to us, the Bradbury family, an invitation to visit and minister in Argentina. October, 2000 presented us with that life-changing mission's endeavor. We left for almost 4 weeks on a trip to minister to the churches in Argentina. What a ministry opportunity it was! We shared the love of Christ, in music, art, the preaching of the Word and Marriage Seminars.
